Malvern Fire Co Cancels Carnival, Golf Tournaments

MALVERN, PA — Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Malvern Fire Company has canceled its flagship event.
Thursday, the fire company said it has canceled the annual Fire Company Carnival, as well as its golf tournaments.
"Based on ongoing feedback from county, state and federal sources on the ongoing pandemic we felt it was in the best interest of the community we service and our personnel to cancel these events this year," the fire company said. "We hope that next summer will be different and we can hold these annual events again and going forward."

"In a time when every dollar counts this is a big hit to our yearly income," the fire company said.

But residents can still support the fire company in several ways.
Monetary donations can be made via PayPal online here. You can also mail or drop off donations to the fire station, 424 E. King St., Malvern, PA 19355.
Those who shop on Amazon can support the fire company by using Smile.Amazon.com and choose Malvern Fire Company as the recipient of donations.
Residents in the fire company's response area can also sign up to become a member of the Ambulance Subscription Drive. Get more info on the subscription drive here.
And of course, donation of PPE or disinfectant supplies can be made. N95/KN95 masks, surgical masks, regular face masks, face shields, isolation gowns, cleaning/disinfectant wipes/cleaners and hand sanitizer are all needed amid the pandemic. Items for donation can be dropped off at the station or picked up.
