Malvern Health Inspection Reports: Smashburger, Beer Store, Schools

The Chester County Department of Health has inspected seven Malvern area locations in the past few weeks, from the period of October 30 through December 4.

White Manor Country Club led the way with six violations:

-Ice wand was on the walk-in cooler floor. Ensure that these are stored on a tray or away from the floor as they are food contact surface.

--Cream cheese measured 43 degrees F internally in the expo cooler. All the item came form the walk-in cooler this morning. Move all the items in the walk-in cooler to rapid chill. Cream cheese were from Sunday so those were discarded.

--Raw hamburger measured 44 degrees F internally. Steak measured 45 degrees F internally in the drawer cooler in the main cook line. Discarded these items. Hold all potentially hazardous food items at or below 41 degrees

--No thermometer in cooler #5, #8 and salad cooler. Provide them to monitor the temperature of these coolers.

--Observed paint chipping on the shelves in the cooler #8. Repair/ replace the shelves.

--Dish machine was sanitizing the glassware at 10 PPM in the pub. Staff primed the dish machine then it sanitized at 50 PPM.

--Main dish machine was not sanitizing the dishes at all. Service person was called and it was repaired during the inspection. The dish machine is not sanitizing at 100 PPM.

--Observed black/brown debris on the fans and the area around them in the produce and upstairs walk-in cooler. Clean these areas and comply always.
