MALVERN, PA -- How sanitary are local food establishments?
The Chester County Health Department has inspected 10 Malvern area locations over the past month, from the period of September 7 to October 4.
Chipotle Mexican Grill in Exton led the way with a whopping 10 violations. Some of those included: employees not wearing beard covers and hair restraints in food prep area, cooler not maintaining proper cold holding temperatures, various thermometers missing, doors loose on coolers, cutting boards containing deep grooves that cannot be sanitized properly, equipment not cleaned frequently enough to avoid grease and food residue accumulation, no sign at sink in men's restroom reminding employees to wash their hands, missing lightbulbs, and more.
