Malvern Health Inspections: Subway, Dunkin Donuts, And More

MALVERN, PA -- The Chester County Department of Health has inspected seven Malvern area locations in the past few weeks, from the period of March 1 through March 22.

J Scott Catering led all comers with three violations.

Staff did not know how to use the test kit to check the sanitizer concentration. Staff was showed how to use it. Ensure that the dish machine was checked everyday.

Torn gasket on the True dairy refrigerator in the kitchen. Replace them within 1 month.

Staff using a pre-made container of Comet cleaner with bleach to clean the slicer according to the staff. The label of this cleaner do not suggest it for food contact surface. Discontinue to use on the slicer. Use the quat sanitizer that is connected to the three compartment sink to clean any food contact surface.

  • Subway at the Great Valley Center, inspected March 18, two violations, out of compliance (display case not cold enough, hot water pressure low in women's bathroom)
  • J Scott Catering, inspected March 15, three violations
  • Malvern Oil LLC, inspected March 15, one violation
  • Dunkin Donuts East Whiteland, inspected March 11, no violations
  • Barson's @Atwater, inspected on March 8, three violations
  • American Food and Vending Services Center, inspected March 3, no violations
  • Janssen Malvern, inspected March, two violations, out of compliance
