Never in my lifetime has there been such a vulgar presidential campaign.

It has been a disgraceful period of personal mud slinging. Both candidates should be ashamed and embarrassed by their performances which have continued to worsen the closer we come to Election Day.

I cannot even name specifics of at least three proposals they have put forth to improve our country.

I am shocked that neither the Democratic or Republican parties were able to nominate more experienced and superior candidates.

I also think of young teens who are now old enough to understand the election process.

Do they think this is standard procedure?

So many sad happenings in our country now.

At this time, I am not optimistic about any major changes that are desperately needed.

Post Election Day, I look forward to our streets, roads and corners no longer being "trashed" with political signs.
