Malvern Offering Free Mental Health First Aid Class In November

Learn the crucial skill of identifying risk factors and warning signs of mental health distress at the free training in November.

MALVERN, PA — First aid and CPR are great skills to know and can help save lives in medical emergencies. But Malvern officials are offering training to help the public handle mental health emergencies.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, and Adult Mental Health First Aid training will be held at the Malvern Borough Hall.

The free course will teach attendees to identify risk factors and warning signs of mental health distress.

They will also practice a Mental Health First Aid action plan and learn about local mental health and substance abuse resources during the course.

Attendees will earn a three-year Mental Health First Aid certification and get a manual on Mental Health First Aid.

Lunch will not be provided and attendees should bring their own lunches.
