Malvern Prep Distinguished Speaker Series: Brands, Bullying And Teens
Join brand research expert Samil Aledin in Malvern as he discusses the complicated relationships among teens and the brands they love.
Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. - Duffy Arts Center - Malvern Preparatory School, 418 S. Warren Ave., Malvern, Pa. This event is free and open to the public.
Finnish brand consumption researcher Samil Aledin will discuss the results of his international brand-bullying project on Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Duffy Arts Center.
Aledin has studied how teens have used brands to bully their peers in Finland and Great Britain. This spring, Aledin has surveyed and interviewed Malvern Prep and Villa Maria Upper School students about their experiences with brand bullying. This project is his first in the United States.

In addition to his research findings, Aledin will address what signs to look for about bullying and how to help our teens navigate this sometimes subtle but often hurtful phenomenon of brand bullying. Malvern students will be working on projects leading up to the event, and will present their findings that evening.
