Malvern Prep Offers Welcome To Pope Francis

Malvern Prep has released a video welcoming Pope Francis to the region and declaring that the Pope’s mission is in line with that of the school.

The video, “We Are One Body,” includes quotes from the Pope and other sayings which the school says identify with its mission.

“The Pope’s call to help those in need resonates with our community,” the school said in releasing the video. “In fact, Christian Service is a key pillar of the Malvern experience. Our students travel the globe to live with and learn from some of the most vulnerable people in the world.”

“They fix schools, dig irrigation ditches, read to children, feed the homeless and take care of the elderly. All important things ... but not as important as learning that we are all God’s children. “We Are One Body.” We pray that Pope Francis helps people of all faiths understand this message.”

Pope Francis arrives in Philadelphia on Saturday.
