Malvern Proposes 'Code of Conduct' To Govern Public Meetings
The code would enforce civility in all Malvern borough gatherings.

Malvern, PA -- Malvern has announced the proposal of a code of conduct, which would enforce civility in all Malvern borough gatherings.
Malvern's Home Rule Charter of 2008 requires that citizens have the opportunity to address the Borough Council at all public meetings.
The code aims to "establish a minimum level of civility and promote an atmosphere of reasoned expression of ideas," according to borough.

The new rules make clear and put in writing bylaws regarding management of meetings, who should be allowed to speak (only Malvern residents), when they are allowed to (only when recognized by the Council), and more, all to be enforced by the Malvern Police.
The next public council meeting is Tuesday, June 21 at 7 p.m. at Malvern Borough Hall.
