Malvern Retreat House Holding Art Show This Week
This year's art show will include art discussions on Wednesday and Sunday afternoon and feature various artists from across the Philly area.

Malvern Retreat House will open its 2017 art show on Wednesday and this year's event will include some new features while highlighting the area's best artists.
The show opens Wednesday at 10 a.m. It will run daily until Sunday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m.
There will be a complimentary wine and cheese reception on Thursday, Feb. 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This year's art show will feature two art discussion sessions. The first will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with artist John Suplee. The second talk will be feature artist Rachel Romano on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Not only will Suplee and Romano be available for these exclusive talks, various featured artists will be on hand throughout the show's run to talk about their art.

The show will feature work from about 100 juried artists with more than 2000 fine art pieces for sale. Thirty-five percent of all artwork sales is tax deductible.
"The show attracts hundreds of guests and generally brings in about $100,000 in gross revenues from the approximately 600 art pieces sold during the show," the Malvern Retreat House says of the art show. "A portion of the proceeds benefits Malvern Retreat House."

The art show will be held at the McShain-Horstmann Family Life Center, 315 S. Warren Avenue, Malvern.
