Malvern Schedules Bulk Trash Pick-Up

Residents are asked to place large furniture, appliances or yard waste by their curbs on May 16.

Malvern residents looking to do some major spring cleaning have a few weeks to decide whether or not that old couch needs to be replaced.

A bulk trash pick-up day has been scheduled by borough officials for Saturday, May 16. Trucks will roll through neighborhoods looking for discarded items that are too large for regular trash days.

According to the notice, only items that can be picked up by two workers will be taken. Acceptable items for removal include sofas, chairs and appliances. Any appliances that contain freon must have a certificate of removal, the notice says.
