The school seriously beat its initial fundraising goal of $120,000 to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's childhood cancer fight.

MALVERN, PA – As The Malvern School recognizes its 20th anniversary, it has been celebrating by engaging school communities and rallying support for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. And the school raise significantly more money for the foundation than its $120,000 goal.
The school said is generated $146,822 for the foundation to help it fight childhood cancer.

It represents the passion of our entire team for helping others and – core to our work as educators – helping young children understand and embrace the importance of giving back."

Over the past several months, students at the schools learned the importance of helping others by planning and executing fundraising events at their schools. They are taught compassion and empathy while helping others in need.
"We don’t just talk to our students about these character values; we lead by example to bring lessons to life," Waterfield said.
From April through July, teachers and Directors at all 26 Malvern School locations throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and southern and central New Jersey engaged children, families and their communities in fun activities and events to help the team surpass its goal.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from these efforts – from lemonade stands and carnivals to art auctions, fundraising partnerships with local businesses and other school activities – are donated to the foundation.
The Malvern School has supported the foundation for more than 10 years and each year has been named a Top Fundraiser by the organization.
