Malvern Teen Wins Media Theatre Singing Contest
Molly Sorensen won the "Vocalist Junior" crown after weeks of competition.

A 13-year-old Malvern girl has won Malvern Music Theatre’s annual Vocalist Junior competition, according to an announcement on the theatre’s blog.
Molly Sorenson advanced each week through the contest with show-stopping renditions of Broadway classics, pulling away from the rest of the singers with “The Wizard and I” from Wicked and “Home” from Beauty and the Beast during the final round.
Sorensen received a $500 check presented by Iron Workers Bank President and guest judge John Whittig and a gift card to attend productions at the Media Theatre.
