Malvern Under Snow Emergency Until 6 a.m. Friday

Make sure you see the list of snow emergency routes so your vehicle doesn't get ticketed or towed.

Malvern Borough has enacted a snow emergency from 6 a.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, and all borough buildings are closed.

With a snow emergency in effect, it's illegal for anyone to park a vehicle or to allow the same to remain parked, on any highway or portion of highway listed below:

  • Bridge Street - from King Street to Old Lincoln Highway
  • King Street - from the eastern Borough line to the western Borough line
  • Monument Avenue - from Sugartown Road to Warren Avenue
  • Old Lincoln Highway - from the eastern Borough line to the western Borough line
  • Sugartown Road - from the southern Borough line to King Street
  • Warren Avenue - from Paoli Pike to the northern Borough line

Any vehicle parked on these roads during the emergency will be ticketed and towed.

Make Sure You Know Malvern's Snow Removal Guidelines

It's also illegal to operate any motor vehicle or tractor on any of these highways, or portions of highways listed, unless the vehicles or tractors are equipped with adequate equipment to provide sufficient traction to keep such vehicle or tractor in motion so that other traffic on such highways will not be blocked or seriously impeded, the borough said.

Residents are asked to park vehicles in driveways to allowed fire, ambulance, and other necessary
vehicles access to all neighborhoods.

All borough buildings are closed today, as well.

Borough Hall and the library are closed and will reopen Friday Feb. 10 at 9 a.m.

Residential trash will be collected Friday, Feb. 10 as scheduled.
