Malvern Woman Running For State Representative: Report

Gail Newmann looks to win a seat representing ​Charlestown, Easttown, East Whiteland, West Whiteland, West Pikeland, Malvern and Willistown.

MALVERN, PA — A Malvern woman is entering the race to represent Charlestown, Easttown, East Whiteland, West Whiteland, West Pikeland, Malvern and Willistown in Harrisburg, according to a new report.

Daily Local News reports Gail Newmann, of Malvern, is running for the 167th district seat in the Pennsylvania legislature.

Newmann, a Republican, is seeking to take the seat from Democrat Kristine Howard.

The outlet reports she has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a Master of Business Degree from Temple University and served on the Malvern Communication Committee.

Among topics she plans to champion are work requirements for welfare recipients, government transparency, and union workers rights.
