Moorehall Road Projects Affecting Traffic This Week, Through Sept

Paving, line striping and other work, as well as ADA ramp installation, will affect traffic on Moorehall Road for some time, PennDOT said.

Drivers on Morehall Road/Route 29 will encounter lane closures in both directions between the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange and Yellow Springs Road in Charlestown and East Whiteland townships through Friday, Aug. 24, for paving, line striping and other construction activities related to an improvement project to reconstruct a portion of the highway, PennDOT said.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, Aug. 19, through Friday, Aug. 24, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., lane closures and lane shifts are scheduled on Route 29 (Morehall Road) between the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange and Yellow Springs Road;
  • Monday, Aug. 20, Thursday, Aug. 23, and Friday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., lane closures and lane shifts are scheduled on Route 29 (Morehall Road) between the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange and Yellow Springs Road; and
  • Tuesday, Aug. 21, and Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., lane closures and lane shifts are scheduled on Route 29 (Morehall Road) between the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange and Yellow Springs Road. The 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. restriction will be limited to the northbound far right lane.

Additionally, Route 29 (Morehall Road) at Great Valley Parkway in East Whiteland will have lane restrictions Monday, Aug. 20, through Friday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ADA ramp installation and road widening, PennDOT said.

Route 29 (Morehall Road) drivers, as well as motorists exiting the Pennsylvania Turnpike, are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work zones because backups and slowdowns will occur during construction.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
