New Traffic, Parking At Great Valley High, Middle Schools

MALVERN, PA – Great Valley High and Middle school students and parents will see new traffic and parking plans at the Great Valley School District's secondary campus in the 2018-2019 school year, as the district is rolling out new patterns.

The district has made changes to bus and car drop offs, as well as visitor parking for the upcoming year.

Below are the shifts to the drop off and parking, courtesy of Great Valley School District:

Bus Drop-Off
Beginning this school year, buses will drop both middle school and high school students off in front of the football stadium on the main drive. All students will walk, under supervision, to their respective schools. This is where buses have traditionally boarded students in the afternoon. The main drive drop-off location will be closed to all other vehicles while buses are unloading.

Car Drop-Off
Parents who drop off their student in the morning at the high school are asked to enter the campus via the Phoenixville Pike high school entrance. The student drop-off will be in the drive in front of the main entrance. Parents are asked to pull as far forward in that drive as possible when discharging a student. After student drop-off, parents may turn right to exit the campus via the back drive onto Route 401 (right turn only), or may turn left to exit onto Phoenixville Pike via the drive they used to enter.

Parents who drop off their student in the morning at the middle school should enter the middle school drive and proceed up to the area of the main entrance. All parents will be asked to turn left and to pull as far down in the circular drive as possible. Students will use the sidewalk to access the middle school. Parents should then exit the campus via the main drive onto Phoenixville Pike. Buses will use the same exit.

Visitor Parking
Visitor parking at the high school will remain in the lot directly across from the main entrance. All visitor parking at the middle school will move to the spaces around the circular drive. Parents are asked not to use the parking areas for the drop-off of students at either school. Staff and Student Parking: Staff parking at the high school will not change. At the middle school, all staff parking will now be in the lot across from the middle school, adjacent to Phoenixville Pike. High school student parking will not change and will remain in the lot, adjacent to Phoenixville Pike.
