Overnight Work Affecting Route 202 In East Whiteland Next Week

PennDOT said crews will be conducting crack sealing, as well as milling and paving work, on US Route 202 overnight next week.

EAST WHITELAND, PA — PennDOT work will affect traffic on U.S. Route 202 in East Whiteland Township next week, according to officials.

Overnight single lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 202 East Whiteland and for crack sealing work, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, Route 202 will have lane closures overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

Work will be done through Thursday, Oct. 3, PennDOT said.

The affected area is between Britons Bridge Road and U.S. 422 in East Whiteland, Tredyffrin, Birmingham, Thornbury, and West Goshen townships.

Additionally, northbound and southbound overnight lane closures will be in place on U.S. 202 between the Boot Road and Route 401 interchanges in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships for milling and paving work.

Work begins Monday, Sept. 30 and will last through Friday, Oct. 4.

Lane closures will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., and from 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6,

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
