The Varsity and Junior Varity soccer teams at St. Norbert School, a Catholic, co-educational school for children in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade in Paoli, Pa., won Region 17 Championship titles this season.
The junior varsity, coached by John Duzy, Jerry O’Connor and Helen Gabriele, defeated Saints Peter and Paul 3-0 in the championship game, capping a 12-1 season.
The varsity team, coached by Larry Schwartz, Gregg Furtaw and Brian Toole, needed triple overtime and a “golden goal” to top Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic Elementary School 2-1. This is the third straight year the Bulldogs won the title.

“We couldn’t be more proud of our student athletes; all of their hard work paid off,” said Principal Mary Kay Hennessy in a press release. “I also want to thank our players’ parents and our volunteer coaches for the time and effort they contributed to making this soccer season a huge success.”
