Philadelphia Zoo Employee Killed by Falling Golf Cart

A 59-year-old Philadelphia Zoo employee was killed Monday morning when a golf cart fell on top of him, according to a report by NBCPhiladelphia.com.

The report says the mechanic was working alone in the garage and had the cart elevated on a lift when it fell, pinning the longtime zoo employee. He was found by another employee at 10 a.m. Monday and rushed to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim’s name has not yet been released.
