Phoenixville Health Inspections: Molly McGuire's, Steel City, Marly's, Pepperoncini

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- The Chester County Department of Health has inspected 19 Phoenixville area locations in the past few weeks, from the period of March 1 through March 22.
The Bistro at Franklin Commons led all comers with thirteen violations.

Container of horseradish sauce stored in the walk-in refrigerator dated 11/7.
Uncovered products in the walk-in refrigerator and freezer need to be covered immediately (stock, dessert, etc.).

The following equipment needs repair: a. Right door of the Continental refrigerator in the front service area (taped shut). b. Two middle doors on the Continental lowboy refrigerator across from the cook line need new gaskets. Equipment shall be maintained in good repair at all times.
The following locations need cleaning: a. the cook line (equipment and surfaces); b. exhaust hoods; c. Merry Chef oven in the service area up front; d. employee restroom; e. mop closet; and f. remove the cardboard lining the table to the right of the fryer and do not replace.
Leaks observed at the water inlet to the ice machine. Plumbing shall be maintained in good repair at all times.
Two containers of raw shell eggs observed stored in the Continental refrigerator across from the ovens above butter, containerized drinks, rolls, etc. Store raw animal-derived product below or otherwise segregate from ready-to-eat foods and foods that may not be cooked to the required end cooking temperature of eggs.
