Police: Teen Drowned in Chesco Reservoir
The boy was reportedly trying to retrieve a soccer ball.

A teenage boy drowned Thursday night in Chester County reservoir, authorities said.
The boy, 17, was trying to retrieve a soccer ball that had fallen in the water at Anson B. Nixon Park in Kennett Square, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
A water rescue was performed by the Kennett and Longwood fire companies, the Inquirer said, but the boy was pronounced dead at Jennersville Regional Hospital.

The incident remains under investigation. The boy’s name has not been released.
