Rep. Costello To Present Medals To Family of World War II Veteran
Chester County's Master Sergeant Arthur Fryer fought in the D-Day Invasion in Normandy and in Italy and Germany.

WEST CHESTER, PA -- Congressman Ryan Costello (PA-06) will be presenting medals to an East Greenville family whose father served more than four years in the Army during World War II, his office announced in a news release on Tuesday.
Master Sergeant Arthur Fryer served with the Army’s 307th Airborne Engineer Battalion and fought in the D-Day Invasion in Normandy.
He also fought in Sicily, Italy, Germany, and France.

Congressman Costello’s staff said they assisted Fryer’s family in securing the eight medals he had earned more than 70 years ago.
Those medals are: Army Good Conduct Medal; American Defense Service Medal; American Campaign Medal; European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze service stars (each one representing the aforementioned four campaigns he participated in); Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII; Expert Badge with the Submachine Gun Bar; Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar; and The Glider Badge.

The presentation will take place at the Fryer family home home on Thursday.
