I can not disagree more about the recommendations offered if you were to be pulled over by a Patrol Officer. Yes, I think its important to be courteous but I don't believe not looking the Officer in the eyes is an aggressive move. If anything it shows the office you have his attention and will comply with his instructions. This kind of advice is what scares the BeJesus out of people if they get pulled over. It is an intimadating situation for the driver and makes people very nervous. It also reinforces the belief that you have to be very very careful or you might get shot for something that perks the officer's attention but was harmless.
My advice, be courteous, provide the officer with the documentation, and let him carry the conversation. But do not be afraid for the Police are just doing their jobs and sometimes they run into situations that go haywire. Don't be one of those people.
