Road Work Set for Route 100 This Week
Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on Route 100 during the operations because slowdowns will occur.
The following was provided to Patch by PennDOT:
Lane closures are scheduled this week on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between Shoen Road and Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) in West Whiteland and Uwchlan townships, Chester County, for median construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
This work is part of the $17.4 million project to expand Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) from two lanes to three lanes in each direction by widening northbound Route 100 from Shoen Road to just south of Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) and widening southbound Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) from just south of Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) to Swedesford Road/Waterloo Road.

In addition, lane closures may be in effect Wednesday through Friday (July 30-Aug. 1) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Ship Road, Worthington Road and Gordon Drive where each street intersects Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) for line painting operations.
