Route 202 Lanes Closing In East Whiteland Overnight

Various construction work will close lanes on Route 202 in both directions overnight Sunday through Wednesday, PennDOT said.

EAST WHITELAND, PA — Lane closures will be in place in both directions on U.S. 202 in East Whiteland and West Whiteland townships beginning Sunday for various construction work, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, 202 will have lane closures between the Boot Road and Route 401 interchanges.

Closures will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11 through Wednesday, Aug. 14, PennDOT said.

Crews will be moving temporary concrete barriers, painting traffic lines and installing guiderail as part of the final construction stage that is underway in the median area of U.S. 202.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $26.4 million project to rehabilitate the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak and the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass ramp, repair the Morstein Road overpass near Boot Road, and replace the concrete pavement on the ramps to and from U.S. 202 and U.S. 30/Exton Bypass.
