Route 401 On-Ramp Will Be Closed Friday Night
The ramp is being realigned, PennDOT said.

The following was provided to Patch:
The Route 401 (Conestoga Road) on-ramp to U.S. Route 202 South in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, will be closed and detoured from 8 p.m. Friday (Oct. 10) to 10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 11) for the realignment of the ramp, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced.
The overnight operation to relocate the Route 401 (Conestoga Road) on-ramp onto newly built pavement is associated with PennDOT’s $63.3 million project to improve the Route 401 Interchange and widen 2.5 miles of Route 202 to six lanes between the Route 401 and Route 30 interchanges in East Whiteland Township.

During the ramp closure, which is weather dependent, Route 401 (Conestoga Road) motorists heading to Route 202 South will be detoured north on Route 202 to the Route 29 North exit, then right on Matthews Road, right on Route 29 (Morehall Road) and left at Swedesford Road to the ramp to Route 202 South.
In the event of inclement weather, the ramp closure will be rescheduled to the following night (Oct. 11).

Drivers are advised to use extra care when traveling through the construction zone and to expect slowdowns.
Construction to expand Route 202 from north of Route 401 to Route 30, including work at the Route 401 Interchange, is being done by Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County. The project is scheduled to finish in 2016.
