SEPTA Strike Imminent: Reports

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that a SEPTA strike in the next few months is imminent.

Approximately 200 Regional Rail locomotive engineers have not reached an agreement with SEPTA and could strike as early as Oct. 12, after a mediation period expires, the Inquirer said.

Plus, about 5,000 bus drivers, subway operators, mechanics and cashiers are working under an expired contract.

They could walk out at any time once a vote is taken to authorize a strike.
