Several Chester County Groups Work Together To Save Cormorant: Report
The juvenile bird was trapped by a fish hook 100 yards above the ground, hanging from a tree.

A group of Chester County residents recently banded together to save the life of a young double-breasted cormorant, according to a Daily Local News report.
A staff member at Coatesville Country Club saw the cormorant pierced by a fishing hook in a tree, hanging 100 feet above the Coatesville resevoir, the report states.
The staff worked with Pennsylvania American Water, the West Caln Police, West Caln Road Crew, and electrical company G.A. Vetri to bring the bird down from the tree, according to the report.

The bird was then taken a Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research volunteer to the Frink Center for Wildlife in Newark, Delaware for treatment, the report states.
