Shred Documents, Trash Drugs, Recycle Items In Malvern April 14
Those in the Malvern area can safely dispose of old medications, recycle various items, and shred sensitive documents on April 14.

MALVERN, PA – Those living in the Malvern area have a chance to safely dispose old of medications, recycle various items (including electronics and tires), shred documents, and make donations at a free community event next month, courtesy of State Rep. Duane Milne.
The event – Environmental Stewardship Day – will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 14 in the campus parking lot of Penn State Great Valley, 30 Swedesford Road in Malvern.
The event is free to the public and will be held rain or shine.

Those who use the event's services can stay in their vehicles while workers take care of your items.

- Needles and epi-pens will not be accepted
- Electronic recycling

- Computers (desktops, laptops, tablets)

- Ink/toner cartridges
- Microwaves
- Toaster ovens
- Copy machines
- Fax machines
- Scanners
- Typewriters
- Network equipment
- Anything with a plug
- Document shredding (cardboard boxes not accepted)
- Tire recycling
- Only family passenger and light truck tires will be accepted; rims, commercial, and agricultural will not be accepted
- Green Drop item donations (usable items only)
- Clothing in plastic bags or boxes

- Toys
- Kitchenware
- Sporting goods
- Books
- CDs
- Videos
- Lion's Club donations
- Eyeglasses (all types)
- Sunglasses (all types)
- Hearing aids
- Home of the Sparrow for Women and Children donations
- Cell phones
- Chargers
- Boy Scouts donations
- Faded and worn flags (no flag poles)
Items not accepted at all during the event are furniture, large appliances, light bulbs, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and batteries.
