PennDOT Restores Normal Speeds On State Highways
Normal speeds are back in effect after PennDOT reduced speed limits on various highways in the Philadelphia Wednesday due to harsh weather.

PennDOT restored normal speed limits on state highways that had speeds reduced to 45 mph Wednesday as harsh winter weather hammered the Philadelphia region again
Those highways are:
- Interstates 76, 95, 476, 676;
- U.S. Routes 1, 30, 202, 422;
- State Routes 63, 100, and 309.
PennDOT said drivers who must head out in this weather should have an emergency kit for their vehicles.

Kits should include non-perishable food, water, a blanket, a small shovel and warm clothes. When preparing an emergency kit, motorists should take into account special needs of passengers such as baby food, pet supplies or medications and pack accordingly, as well.
