Attendees will be welcome to tour the school and enjoy light refreshments. Special displays will highlight student work and life at Sugartown Elementary School. A 36-foot celebratory mural, commissioned to especially celebrate the anniversary, will be unveiled.

A short recognition program will be held in the school’s Dining Room at 6 p.m. and will include a welcome from the principal, remarks from a teacher, the presentation of a celebratory proclamation by State Representative Duane Milne, and comments from mural artist, Carrie Kingsbury. Students will end the program by singing the school song.
