Summertime and the Living Will Be Easy For Some Savvy Parents
Area Parents Turn to a Much More Affordable Alternative to Camps, Daycares and Nannies

April 8, 2016-Many parents are breathing a sigh of relief knowing that the one thing they don't need to sweat this summer is childcare. Now parents will be just as excited as their kids as they both count down the days to summer!
Growing in popularity across the country, hosting an au pair is a way to bridge the gap between daycare, day camps, grandma's house, and play dates. Instead of bouncing back and forth between childcare options, families have the comfort of knowing that the kids are always with someone they know and trust. Parents can rest assured that their children will safely travel from one activity to the next. Au Pairs are not just wonderful caregivers for babies and young children, but positive role models for older children and teens as well.
Au pairs are caring and committed, adventurous and educated young people, ages 18-26 years, from over 20 different countries worldwide. They are eager to experience American culture while sharing their own unique backgrounds. They provide up to 45 hours of childcare per week in exchange for a weekly stipend and the opportunity to experience American culture by living with a caring and open-minded family for one year and can extend their stay for up to two years.

In addition to watching the kids, au pairs can help keep the children's rooms neat, take care of their laundry, and help out at meal time. With all of this assistance, busy parents will have the opportunity to spend real one-on-one quality time with their children at the end of the day, or maybe even go out on a date!
Au pairs are thoroughly screened in their home countries. Before arriving to your home in the U.S., they complete an intensive online training course and spend 4 days at our Cultural Care Au Pair Training School in New York reviewing child safety and development and earning a 2-year adult and pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid certification by American Red Cross instructors. Cultural Care Au Pair is a U.S. Department of State regulated program.
