Victims Rescued From Car After Brutal Malvern Crash
The dramatic scene played out on Tuesday afternoon as emergency personnel from throughout the area responded.

MALVERN, PA - Emergency personnel from several local fire companies responded to the scene of an accident with victims trapped in their car just outside Phoenixville on Tuesday, the Valley Forge Fire Company reported.
The incident occurred on Clothier Springs Road near Howell Road when a car crashed into a pole on the side of the road at about 1 p.m.
The crash totaled the car, bending it in half and caving much of the roof in on itself.

The driver was unconscious when rescue crews arrived, officials said.
Crews quickly worked to stabilize the vehicle and remove the roof with hydraulic tools.

The driver was taken from the tangle of wreckage within minutes. Both the driver and the passenger were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals.
Their condition is presently unknown.
Roads throughout the region were slippery on Tuesday as rain fell through the day.
