Multi-Cultural Education Comes To Malvern School

The special program is a part of Spanish Heritage Month.

On October 13, members from the Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre performing arts program visited Villa Maria Academy for an assembly of Spanish dance and music with students and teachers in grades K-8 to celebrate Spanish heritage month. With their colorful costumes and energetic dances, they brought the room to life and shared the Spanish heritage with the girls. Their guitarist and singer taught the girls about the history of the music and how the Flamenco guitar was different from a regular guitar, and the three dancers taught the girls a little about the foot work, hand motions, dance, and colorful dress. Students even joined in learning the elements of Flamenco dance.
