West Whiteland Announces Crackdown On Aggressive Driving

Local law enforcement will be specifically targeting a few roads in the area.

West Whiteland Township police will be specifically targeting a few roads in the area to enforce laws against aggressive driving, they announced.

The crackdown is part of a statewide initiative, which includes over 225 municipal police agencies, targeting aggressive drivers in Pennsylvania.

‘Please remember while traveling on the roadways throughout Pennsylvania, please be a responsible driving. Speeding, tailgating, running red lights, and committing other traffic violations is not worth the penalties and the increased chances of being involved in a crash,” West Whiteland police said in the announcement.

Police will target 444 roadways in the state. Locally, police will focus on Route 100 and the larger corridor buffering it.

The enforcement is part of the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project police said.

It is funded by part of PennDOT’s investment of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
