Willistown Family Forced From Home After Downed Wires Spark Fire

WILLISTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A local family lost everything amid the high winds that plagued our region last week.

Wires came down on a home in Willistown during strong winds last week, causing a fire.

The fire severely damaged the home and the family lost all their possessions.

Now, the community is rallying around the family.

A GoFundMe campaign was launched the day of the incident and has nearly reached its $15,000 goal.

So far, community members have raised more than $13,400.

"Losing things is nothing when you have your life but let's help them make their struggle a little less difficult," the GoFundMe campaign reads. "Please donate what you can to help with costs to rebuild their life and pay for immediate needs and housing."
