The site’s methodology and ranking system came from Uniform Crime Report data for the full year of 2014.
"Willistown, a Philadelphia suburb, protects its historic covered bridges and colonial buildings with as much effort as its community's safety," SafeWise says in its writeup of the area. "The local law now mandates that drivers under 18 wear seat belts and go through a Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program to control how many passengers are in the car while someone is learning to drive. The law doesn't take a back seat here and the town strives to keep its people as safe as possible."
