Write a Letter This Thanksgiving. Change a Life

Write a letter, change a life, and meet others dedicated to human rights. Join us for Amnesty International's Write for Rights Campaign.

Vitalina Koval works hard to support LGBTI people in her home city, Uzhgorod, Ukraine. But she was violently attacked after organizing a peaceful protest on International Women’s Day 2018. Still, Vitalina and her fellow human rights champions refuse to give in to fear. During its Write for Rights campaign, Amnesty International USA is championing Vitalina and eight other courageous women. During the campaign, everyday activists just like you will be sending them messages of hope and addressing letters to government officials in their countries demanding their release.

We are Amnesty International USA Group 342. We meet the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm in Wegmans Café, 50 Foundry Way (at Rt. 29), Malvern, PA 19355. Our next two monthly meetings will be dedicated to the brave women named in the Write for Rights campaign. Join us at our upcoming meeting on Wednesday, November 21. We make it easy to become an activist, even if you’ve never written a petition before. For more information contact barbquin at gmail.com

Can’t make it to our next meeting? Visit AIUSA’s Write for Rights page. Choose one (or more) of the activists. Follow the easy instructions to send her a message of encouragement and to address a letter on her behalf to officials of her government. You too can write a letter and change a life!
