1 Arrested, 2 Hospitalized After Marple Traffic Stop: Police

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — One person was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and two others were hospitalized after a traffic stop in Marple Saturday.

Marple Township Police said the incident started at about noon on the 100 block of Lawrence Road.

Officers were called to the area for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

There, they encountered three people in a vehicle.

Police said the driver and two passengers were not compliant with police commands, leading officers to detain all three.

The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, while the two passengers were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment due to being under the influence, police said.
