NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Through Pennsylvania's Redevelopment Assistance Capitol Program, Delaware County Community College is getting a multi-million dollar funding boost.

The money will also cover the creation of a site that will ultimately host an early childhood education center, two faculty offices and one classroom.

"The funds for this project will allow for the construction of an early childhood education center, transforming the former Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School into a multi-use facility on the new northeast campus of Delaware County Community College," Zabel said. "It’s rewarding when state money funds vital projects like this that can transform an older property into a multi-use facility that will be capable of hosting classes, training and even community programs."

Zabel encouraged Gov. Tom Wolf to release the funding from Pennsylvania’s RACP to fund the project.
