2 Charged For Newtown Square Laundromat Theft Attempt

Police charged a Philadelphia man and a Chester County woman in connection with an attempted theft from a laundromat in February.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Police in Newtown Township have made two arrests in connection with an attempted theft from a laundromat on West Chester Pike that occurred back in February.

According to police, Lisa Houston, 43, of Parkesburg, and Mark Eric Allen, were arrested recently in connection with the attempted theft that occurred Feb. 7 at Daisy Laundromat on West Chester Pike.

They were both charged with theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief, criminal conspiracy, and related crimes court records show.

Houston was released on $5,000 unsecured bail and slated for a Dec. 19 preliminary hearing.

Police said at Rockview State Correctional Facility in Centre County.
