2 Food Drives Planned For Delaware County This Weekend
One drive will take place Saturday morning in Lansdowne and the other will take place in the afternoon in Linwood.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Two drive-thru food drives are planned in Delaware County this weekend.
The Delaware County Department of Human Services, in conjunction with Delaware County Council, Delaware County AFL-CIO, Lansdowne Borough Council, Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon; State Senators Tom Killion and Tim Kearny; and State Representatives Margot Davidson, Leanne Krueger, Brian Kirkland, and Steve Barrar are teaming up to host the two events.
One will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at 4 Highland Ave. in Lansdowne.

The other will take place Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the United Steelworkers Hall, located at 1522 Chichester Ave. in Linwood.
Each event will be contactless drive-thru donation events. Residents are able to drive through the site, and volunteers will collect the donated items from their vehicles.

Donated items will be distributed to residents across the county.

- dry food goods
- peanut butter
- canned meats and tuna
- stews
- soups
- cereal
- paper towels
- toilet paper
- dish soap
- laundry detergent
- toothpaste
- deodorant
- bar soap for bathing
- baby diapers
- baby wipes
- formula
- hand sanitizer
- cleaning wipes
