2 More Coronavirus Deaths In Delaware County, Cases Hit 541

While the number of cases and deaths are increasing, the number of negative test results in the county is increasing as well.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Two more people died in Delaware County due to the new coronavirus and more than 540 cases have been identified as of Friday.

One of the new deaths was in Marple Township and the other was in Ridley Township.

Details on the victims' ages and genders was not made available as of 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Delaware County's victims so far have been:

  • an 87-year-old woman from Marple Township;
  • a 69-year old man from Marple Township;
  • a 56-year-old man from Yeadon Borough;
  • a 70-year-old woman from Ridley Township;
  • a 63-year-old man from Middletown Township;
  • an 85- year- old male from Ridley Park;
  • an 86-year-old woman from Marple Township;
  • and a 65-year-old man from Springfield Township.

As of Friday, the county has received 2,940 negative test results.
