2020 Pints In The Square Event Canceled Due To Coronavirus

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — As events across the region, state, and country are canceled due to the coronavirus, a staple event in Newtown Square is one of the most recent victims.

The Newtown Square Fire Company announced recently that the annual Pints in the Square fundraiser event has been canceled.

"This decision comes both from a medical and economic outlook," the fire company said online. "We want a safe event where everyone can have fun and enjoy themselves. Unfortunately, that will not be possible this year."

The event typically features numerous craft beers, a 5K race, food, live music, and more.

While the 2020 Pints in the Square has been canceled, officials said the event is expected to return in 2021.
