35 DUI Arrests Over Labor Day Weekend In Delco, Montco, Philly: PSP

Pennsylvania State Police released data on their DUI enforcement over Labor Day Weekend, showing an increase in DUIs in the region.

PHILADELPHIA — Labor Day Weekend DUI stops increased in Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, according to Pennsylvania State Police data.

According to state police, Troop K, which covers those counties, made 35 DUI stops over Labor Day Weekend.

That number is up slightly from 2021, which saw 27 DUI stops over Labor Day Weekend.

Additionally, state police reported 74 crashes over the weekend in the three counties.

Of those 74 crashes, alcohol was involved in eight, and one was fatal.

Last year, state police reported 85 crashes, five of which included alcohol.

Other statistics from Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties from Labor Day Weekend are:

  • Speeding —238
  • Child seats — 10
  • Seatbelt — 66
  • Seatbelt warnings — 30
  • Other citations — 555
  • Self initiated criminal arrests — 45

Overall, state police made 515 DUI stops across the state over the weekend.
