$5K Merchandise Theft, Police Chase In Delco Ends With 4 In Custody

A Pennsylvania State Police trooper had to conduct a PIT maneuver on a vehicle that the accused thieves fled a traffic stop in on I-95.

GLEN MILLS, PA — Four Philadelphians were taken into custody after Pennsylvania State Police said they stole about $5,000 worth of merchandise from a Delaware County business recently.

State Police said Tanya Little, 22; Bilgis Rawls, 18; Mikhail Bowers, 19; and Briell Hargrove, 22, all of Philadelphia, were taken into custody Monday after leading troopers on a chase following a theft at the Glen Mills Lululemon store.

The incident began at about 1:45 p.m. Monday when troopers were alerted to an "active retail theft" at the business on Baltimore Pike in Concord Township.

The vehicle was found on Route 323 heading toward Interstate 95 after troopers canvassed the area.

Troopers tried to stop the vehicle, but it fled onto Interstate 95 north where it struck an Audi, police said.

Then in the area of the Philadelphia International Airport, a pursuing trooper performed a precision immobilization technique, AKA a PIT maneuver, on the Subaru, causing the vehicle to become disabled.

At that point troopers took Little, Rawls, Bowers, and Hargrove into custody. However, police said they provided false identification and claimed to be juveniles.

Police said Bowers had another person's identification card, driver's license, and credit cards.

All were taken to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.
