647 Bags Of Heroin Seized In Recent Busts: Marple Police​

Police said many of the bags recovered also contained fentanyl, which is exponentially deadlier than heroin.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA – Police in Marple Township announced Tuesday, Oct. 24 that they have arrested five alleged heroin and fentanyl traffickers who were slinging drugs in the area.

Following months-long undercover operations launched in August, police seized a total 647 bags of heroin, with some of the bags containing a heroin-fentanyl mixture which is especially deadly to users.

The five people arrested and charged are:

  • Brent Campbell, 24, of Upper Chichester;
  • Dante T. Jenkins, 23, of Philadelphia;
  • Devine C. Harris-Bridges, 24, of Philadelphia;
  • Kareem Christopher Palmer, 28, of Philadelphia;
  • and Walter D. Williams, 29, of Philadelphia

All five face numerous counts of charges including felony possession with the intent to sell, felony criminal use of a communication facility, and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show.

Marple Police said the arrests and charges are the result of minor possession arrests and undercover buys to establish a pattern of these men selling drugs in the township.

Police said these five were not working together and have been allegedly selling drugs in Marple independently from one another.

While most of the suspects are from Philadelphia, they were targeting Marple as a market for their drugs and coming in from the city to sell drugs, police said.

Campbell is being held on 10 percent of $50,000 bail and is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 2, according to court documents.

Jenkins was released after posting 10 percent of $50,000 bail on Sept. 25. He is also scheduled for a Nov. 2 preliminary hearing.

Harris-Bridges is free on 10 percent of $75,000 bail and will head to his trial on Nov. 20.

Palmer is also free on 10 percent of $75,000 bail and slated to have a formal arraignment on Nov. 1.

Williams remains in custody after failing to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail. He will appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 2.
