NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — One of the region's only dedicated veterinary eye-care practices recently opened in Newtown Square.
Veterinary Eye Center of Pennsylvania, which opened in late June, is designed specifically for veterinary ophthalmology — eye care for animals.
The facility provides specialized care for a range of conditions, including vision changes and eye injuries.
"Whether your pet is squinting, experiencing redness or cloudiness, or showing changes in vision, our team is here to help identify the cause and guide you through the next steps," the business said on social media.
While many veterinarians treat eye conditions, specialty eye care for animals is far less common. There are only a few veterinary eye centers in the Philadelphia area, and only about 650 board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists in the country.
Veterinary Eye Center of Pennsylvania is located at 3620 Chapel Road.
