BROOMALL, PA — Delco Axe House, an axe-throwing venue in Broomall, has permanently closed after two years.
The business announced its closure Monday on social media.
"Due to circumstances beyond our control in the owners' personal lives, along with the challenges of today's struggling economy, we were forced to close our doors," the business said on Facebook. "We fought as long as we could, but ultimately it was a battle we could no longer win."
Delco Axe House opened in 2024 at 388 Reed Road, serving as one of Delaware County's only dedicated axe-throwing venues.
The business has pointed customers to The Hatchet House — an axe-throwing venue set to open Nov. 1 in Claymont, Delaware. The Hatchet House has welcomed Delco Axe House's leagues and members.
"We encourage everyone to continue supporting the sport we all love by checking them out," Delco Axe House said. "We know they'll continue building the same fun, welcoming, and competitive community that made Delco Axe House so special."
